Canvas flowers

Hi everyone. I hope this finds you doing well. I had time to complete the Wednesday SCS sketch challenge this week and here' s the card.

The flowers and the strip in back are of a ivory canvas material that came in a 12x12 sheet that I bought at a LSS. I colored it pink using the pink sparkle Smooch spray.

Buttons are cut out using the new button die from Papertrey Ink and their yellow felt and tied on with scrappers floss. As a matter of fact all dies are from PTI - square, flower, and button. The leaf punch is from Martha Stewart crafts.

The pink gingham designer paper is from A Muse. This ended up being a quick simple card that's really springy! I needed something as I'm really tired of the cold and snow we have been getting lately. Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think of this card.

PTI Blog Hop - Scallops

Hello everyone! I decided to participate in the PTI blog hop. Our challenge was to use scallops. Here is my card.

I used the banner dies to make my scallops on the right hand side and cut the normal scallops on the left hand side on the pink PTI cardstock. The gingham is done with Palette Noir ink and the gingham stamp from the bitty back ground set.

I cut three blossoms out from Tim Holtz tattered florals die, distressed them with spun sugar distress ink after stamping them with the "thank you so very much" sentiment. Folded the petals down and added the gingham brad (Making Memories) to the center.

Using the Matt stack 3 die, white cardstock is cut out and then stamped with the gingham from the Matt stack 3 collection in Palette Noir. Added the flower to the center after placing a black cs circle to the center.

Finished it off with a ribbon bow tied out of black grosgrain.

Watercolor butterfly

Happy snow day! It's been snowing off and on for two days and we've got about 6" now. I can't wait for it to start raining to melt all this away. However, the roads are pretty clear so were not too bad off.

So, here is my watercolor butterfly....

Stamp is from The Angel Company. I watercolored this image using distress inks, water and the back of my acrylic block. Just ink up your block with whatever colors of distress inks you want (lighter to darker) and then spritz with water. I used watercolor paper, heat dried it and then stamped on my image. I did add a bit of coloring to the butterfly with some chalks to brighten it up.

I liked this technique so much I decided to do my card base the same way. I used my craft mat though instead of the acrylic block.

Pink designer paper is from Hot Off The Press and the cornice border punch from MS was used on the edges. Layered the main image and the pink with black, added a few black rhinestones and we're done!

Classic

Hello Everyone! I'm off traveling this week for work, it's gonna be super busy but mostly driving long hours to get to where I'm suppose to be! So, with that in mind I thought I'd show you a card involving a classic - car that is.

Stamp is from The Angle Company Just Bee-Cuz set. I inked up the stamp in Versamark and Palette Noir and stamped it so that I could get a good even coverage. Then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder on ivory cardstock. Labels 17 used to cut it out and then decided to use the next size up and layer it with black. Nice and simple - just right for a guy card!

The newsprint paper in the back ground is made using the vintage photo distress ink from Ranger and water. Using my craft mat, I swiped the distress ink across it and then spritzed with water. Laid the newspaper in the color wash and then dried it with a heat gun. Repeated this process a couple of times to get the color I wanted.

I'll add this card to my stash for masculine birthday cards, which I never seem to have enough of.

Think Spring

Hello! I hope this finds everyone doing well. The sun is out today and it's suppose to be just beautiful the next two days! It might be that spring is right around the corner.

Bird stamp is from Studio G ($1 stamps) that I just picked up. The birds are colored with a prismacolor pencil and blended with OMS. Sentiment is from The Angel Company - tag tidbits.

Square and long rectangle Nestabilities used to cut out the images. When I picked up the Studio G stamps at Craft Warehouse, I also picked up some different colored self adhesive pearls made by Queen and Company. The color used here is a navy blue.

Satin ribbon used to make the bow, which was done using the Bow Easy. It's the first time I've made a triple bow which is kind of cool looking.

Blue cardstock is from Papertrey ink and the gingham is from my stash.

We are off to squish, pet, roll around and play with puppies today. We are about three weeks away from bringing our new family member home. There are four boys in this litter and one of them is ours. We don't know which one yet, as the breeder of these beautiful Alaskan Malamutes makes sure that the pup's personality is a fit to ours. Will post pictures later. Have a great weekend!

Sunflowers

I actually get to participate in one of the TAC Savvy projects this week! Yea! Here's my Sunflower card.

Colored with Copic's. All cardstock and stamps are from The Angel Company.

Swiss dots embossing folder was used on the yellow cardstock and I added some gold pearls to the corners for interest. I also did a bit of distressing on the edges of the main image. Overall, pretty clean and simple card.

Cherry Blossoms

Hi everyone. Here's a card I completed using this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.

I've had this stamp forever! I bought it either on M's or J's a looong time ago and it's from Delta Rubber Stamped. I colored it with Copic markers and highlighted the center of the flowers with a white gel pen.

Designer paper is from Kaisecraft's English Rose collection. I used some dark brown cardstock from American Crafts to layer the scalloped circle and the main image. The rose colored ribbon is something I got for free when I ordered some Copic refills online at Ellen Hutson's store. Gotta love "free!" Self adhesive pearls are from Queen and Co.

Hopefully the cherry blossoms will be in bloom soon! I needed a spring pick me up since the weather men are predicting snow here. Didn't that groundhog see his shadow? Come on already, I'm ready for some warmer weather!
