Challenge cards
Hi all! I just wanted to share two of my most recent cards that I made for SCS challenges. I did the technique lovers challenge and of course, the sketch challenge this past week. Here's what I came up with.
This first one is from the technique lovers challenge which was all about pleats. The designer paper is from K&Company, and the stamp is from Gina K Designs. It is colored with Copic Ciao Markers in rose red and rose mist. The sentiment is from PTI. As you can see I got out the sewing machine and stitched down the pleats and around the perimeter of the base layer.
This card is from the sketch challenge. All stamps are from The Angel Company and stamped in Palette True Black. The bird is stamped on a piece of cork that is self adhesive (purchased at Michael's) and layered with black. The designer paper is from DCWV Once upon a time. The brown card stock is from AC cardstock. I colored the silver hardware with copper alcohol ink and then added some copper brads to the top left hand corner.

Card Sketch Tuesday #113
Happy Tuesday all! Here is sketch #113! Which measures the normal A2 size.
I actually dug out my flowers for an embellishment on this one!
The main panel is colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS. I also daubered on some sky blue chalk ink from colorbox in the background. The same is done with the two back panels so that they matched. The script on all of the panels is very close, but is actually two different stamps.

The flowers are from OTC (Oriental Trading Company) that I purchased years ago. I hardly ever use flowers on my cards - so I have bunches of them sitting around.
Have a great week!

Stamps - The Angel Company - flower collage trio, script back ground
Ink - Palette Noir, blue sky chalk from colorbox
Paper - blue card stock from DCWV, white card stock
Prismacolor pencils

Two cards in one!
Hi everyone! I was in a creative mood last week and came up with this card. It's a card within a card.

The mini card on the front was cut out using the large rectangle nestabilities. I stamped the flower from Paisley Rockz and colored them with a yellow and orange glaze gel pens.

The flowers were continued inside the card and I added a photo mount to keep the mini card closed. A white sharpie paint pen is used to add the dots around the outside of the blue layer. This turned out bright and spring-ish and the design has so many possibilities! Hope your having a great weekend!
Supplies:
Stamps - The Angel Company - paisley rockz
Paper - White card stock (GP), blue papers from Paper Pizazz
Light blue organza ribbon
White photo mount
Glaze gel pens

You warm my heart!
Hi all! Here's my latest card I created for the SCS sketch challenge this week.
I already had the rose stamped and cut out from a previous project - so this came together very quickly.

I already had the rose stamped and cut out from a previous project - so this came together very quickly.I used Memories chalk ink in Angelic pink and cloudy coral for the rose. The sentiment is stamped in Palette Noir. I found these really nice self adhesive rhinestones (Kaiser Craft) in a multitude of colors at Craft Warehouse for $1 each. So, I picked up quite a few colors and used the pink ones in the corners and on the label holder.
The designer paper is from the Luxury stack from DCWV. A string of pearls white bling paper from Paper Accents is used for layering and the pink card stock is from HOTP.
Rose Garden and a sentiment from tag tid bits, all from the Angel Company were used to create this card.
Have a great week!

Card Sketch Tuesday #112
Happy Tuesday! Here is sketch #112 - a very green Thanks!
The main panel is done by stamping the leaf with versamark onto a piece of watercolor paper. It's then embossed with clear embossing powder and heat set. Then I sponged some pine needles green distress ink all over the paper and wiped off the distress ink on the embossed leaves.
I stamped the same leaf onto another piece of light green card stock and added some clear embossing again. The left hand panel uses some Gift With Purchase stamps to add the sentiment and a smaller leaf pattern.

I added some spring moss grosgrain ribbon in the middle of the main panel with a knot tied into the middle. The same ribbon is added on the bottom with gold rhinestone stickers in the middle of the two smaller panels.
I was trying to create a masculine thank you card - but it sorta came out a little bit feminine with all that ribbon! LOL! Have a great week!
Supplies:
Stamps - The Angel Company - Pretty Posies and GWP's
Paper - Bazzill card stock in greens, watercolor paper, white card stock
Grosgrain ribbon in spring moss
Gold rhinestones
Clear embossing powder
Versamark ink
Pine needles distress ink
Palette Jardin Moss ink

Hang in there!
Hi all! Here's a little note card I made for a friend who's job was just eliminated. I'm sure that she will have no problem getting either reassigned or hired on at another company. She's super talented - but probably needs a little encouragement right about now!
The image is colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with Odorless Mineral Spirits. Oval nestabilities were used to cut out all the layers. The lime green card stock is from Paper Pizazz. This measures 3.5 x 4 - on the inside is a tag that reads "hang in there"!
Supplies:
Stamps - The Angel Company - pick of the patch
Palette Noir ink
Prismacolor pencils
OMS
Paper - Paper Pizazz, gray and white card stock
Grosgrain ribbon
