Vacation scrapbook pages

Hi all! Here are my first two scrapbook pages from our vacation. These pictures were taken with my Nikon D60 DSLR camera (early birthday present from DH) at Long Beach, Washington.

This first sketch is from Marie-Josee Trudel blog which you can see here. She has a lot of really neat scrapbook sketches for you to try out!

Supplies:
Paper - Raspberry Road Designs - Mystic water
Embellishments - Starfish by Phuong Ton Designs and the net is from AWP by Vicki.
Fonts - Marcelle script for the title and Angelina for the journaling.

This is a sketch from Nicki over at ASB. If you can click on the photo to enlarge it you will see some of the tongue in cheek effects. =)

Supplies:
Background papers are photo's that I took on vacation.
Brushes - swirls from scrapgirls and the birds are from Obsidian Dawn.
Splat from Ton Designs.
Fonts - Marcelle script for title, surfer for journaling.

Have an awesome day!

Fins

Do you know the song by Jimmy Buffett?

Well, that is what came into my mind when I saw this huge statue of this shark in front of The Last Mango in St. Martin. Which is what they intended, I'm sure! The store was all Jimmy Buffett souvenirs! Tons of fun!

We vacationed there in October of 2001 and I'm just now getting around to scrapping these digitally. Glad I have a scanner - because I have no idea where the negatives are for these pictures. I'm also glad for Un-Do as that stuff is wonderful in getting things off - and out of the old scrapbook so that I could scan it! LOL !!! Anyway - thought I'd share my latest creation with you! Another card sketch coming soon!

Papers and page elements are from: Phuong Ton’s graphics, except for the mesh which is from AWP by Vicki!

Recent Digi pages

Hello all! I've been out on a business trip and fell behind on my class and assignments with Jessica Sprague. I'm now taking "Now I'm rockin" and learning so much. Here are two pages that I just got caught up on.

The one above is for my DH - I swear that he has over 100 hats! From down right funky to normal every day baseball hats. What's funny about the whole thing is that he has loads of hair on his head! It's grey though, completely and that's why he keeps it cut short and covered! Paper and elements by Kpertite.

This one is for a challenge called "what makes you happy" - hmm.....that one was easy! Paper and elements by A work in progress by Vicki.

It's in the 90's here in Washington today, which means that summer has finally made it's appearance! However, as it typically does in the northwest, it's suppose to rain over the 4th of July weekend. I'm crossing my fingers that mother nature will change her mind and give us a decent holiday this year! Have a great week everyone!

Digital pages

Here are a few more digital pages. The first one is from pictures that I took about two years ago from a camping trip on the Hamma Hamma river on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state.
The second one is from a hike we just took yesterday. We didn't intend it to be a three mile hike - we started walking and liked all the wildlife we were seeing and just kept going. This is only a very small sample of the pictures that I took. More pages to come on this one!

Most supplies are coming from Scrapgirls, Jessica Sprague and from Anne at ASB. It's so hard to keep track of what I use when my stash keeps growing and growing. I'll use an element from here, a paper from there, and so on!

Have a great week everyone! I'm going to try and post a sketch before I leave on Tuesday for a week on business.

Another Digi page

This page was inspired by an ad that I saw on all graphic design dot com. This was part of my eye candy homework assignment (from the J. Sprague class) and the challenge was to creat a layout from something that inspired you.
Here's the ad:

Here's my layout:

I think it turned out pretty good and thought I'd share it with you. Since I'm such a newbie on doing this digital stuff, I would love to hear your feedback!

Going Digital

Hello everyone! I've been busy taking an on-line class for digital scrapbooking using Photoshop 5.0! I've been having so much fun and learning a lot! Here's one of the layouts that I've done!

This picture was taken of me and my DH several years ago while on vacation in Aruba. This was our first "all inclusive" vacation that we took and found out that it's the only way to go! One price paid up front takes care of all your needs at the resort, from meals to all you can drink! Those tropical drinks get expensive - so it saved us some money there! LOL! Then all you need to spend money on is any sight seeing adventures and all the T-shirts and souvenirs you bring back!

Ok - getting back to the digital layout! I've learned how to use brushes, the lasso tool, how to re-color - and many more cool tools! This is so much fun! I'm taking the class from Jessica Sprague and it's well worth the money! I said as much from the very first video I watched! I'm a very satisfied customer and will return to take more classes and definitely recommend her to anyone! You can view her web site here.

I'll be back later to post a card sketch!
