Thanks for the lift!

Hi everyone! Wowza, what a wonderful relaxing vacation we had. Saw so many cool critters along the way (see below) but mostly just chilled!

This card was made a while ago and I'm now just getting around to posting it.

Stamps and the dies are from Papertrey Ink.

I colored the balloon with Copic markers and then used the die to cut it out. I first cut a piece of acetate or "marker" and used that as a guide to make sure that I lined up the balloon die fairly closely with the stamped image.

The cloud die was used to emboss the blue cardstock. I just put the die on the cutting surface cut side down or on a piece of thin chipboard and then put the cardstock over the top of it and ran it through the CB.

Palette fresh snow used to stamp the clouds and it's also sponged around the edges of the card.

Below are a few of the pictures I was able to snap of the critters we saw last week.

Bear
Herd of Elk (7 bull's in the herd)

These were taken in the North Cascades of Washington State.

Thanks for stopping by!

Road trip photo's

Hi everyone! No card today, but I thought I treat you to some pictures from our road trip over the 4th of July weekend.

North Cascades Hiway - The American Alps.

Rainy Pass - elevation 4855
Still snow on the ground in July!

The town of Winthrop WA. Old western mining town. A lot of very eclectic shops and restaurants to amuse folks that are passing through.

View of Patterson lake from Sun Mountain Lodge.

The weather was just gorgeous and I've never in my life seen so many darn mosquito's! Even the locals were telling us that they were extremely bad this year. Thank goodness for "Off!"
