Hello. I'm playing in the one-layer sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today. It's been ages since I've made a one-layer card.
I ink blended the circle using inks from Simon Says Stamp. The butterfly is an old wood block stamp from Stamin Up! The sentiment comes from The Ton, and I used a piercing die from Gina Marie Designs to add some interest around the perimeter of the card.
This card came together quickly. Thanks for stopping in.

Love this bright cheerful card. Butterflies are a favorite of mine.
Laurie... love the addition of the piercing die to your beautiful butterfly. Fabulous one layer card...thanks so much for sharing it with The Paper Players.
Stunning card and like that pierced edging!
Laurie, your card is so gorgeous in its simplicity! Love the pretty butterfly going off the edge (brave you, stamping with a wood block stamp on a card front lol!). Thank you so much for joining in with the Paper Players this week!
Beautiful, Laurie! I love the blended circle backdrop you created for the butterfly. The pierced border adds dimension while still maintaining the one-layer aspect of the challenge. Thank you for playing with The Paper Players this week!
Beautiful! Thanks for playing along at The Paper Players.
