Hi all! I worked from home today, and on my lunch break I got a chance to whip up this card for the sketch challenge over at SCS.
I used a piece of light green card stock and ran it through the leaf cuttlebug embossing folder. This matched the stamps that I had picked out for the main image. I used my Copic Ciao markers to color the leaves and the caterpillar. I played around with a few different leaf stamps for the two little back ground panels, but nothing was really working for me. I had punched out a few leaves with my MS punch and they were sitting on my desk for another project - when they caught my eye - my mind said "yes! that's it!!!" I just needed to find the right color of green. I almost had one of those - OMG I'm out of that color, I can't believe it momments, when you get your heart set on a specific color. I had to dig deep into my scraps to find enough for the layers and leaves! That's what took the most time on this card...digging for those scraps! LOL!
Supplies:
Stamps - Memory Box, sentiment from Studio G
Paper - Bazzill olive green, colorbok light green, white card stock
Punch from MS crafts
Copic Ciao Markers
Palette noir ink
Have a wonderful day!

gorgeous card ... love how you mixed so many elements ... punches, cuttlebugged background .. Love it!!!
I love this card! The colors, the layers, the dimension, the coloring...it's all amazing! You did a fabulous job on this! LOVE IT!
Oh and I am glad you liked my recipe. My dad was born and raised in the pan handle of Florida so anytime I can find something southern to make him and remind him of home I try to do it. He used to talk about a peach cobbler with the peaches on the bottom and my mom tried to duplicate it but it never was exactly the same and this he said was just like his grandma used to make! It is delicious! Mmmm! Let me know if you try it!
Hugs,
Bridgett
