Mouse - Thinking of you

Hi everyone! One of my past employee's that I've kept in touch with over the years has just been diagnosed with cancer. She's a fighter, so I'm pretty optimistic that she'll kick it. I've left encouraging words via Facebook, but decided to make her a card to let her know I'm thinking about her.


The mouse is an image from The Angel Company and colored with Copic markers. I added a tiny white self adhesive pearl to the center of the flower, which is actually a four leaf clover turned into a flower. The sentiment is from Hero Arts, which is a little blurry in the photo.

Polka dot designer paper is from PTI as is the red cardstock. Black self adhesive rhinestones are from Kaisercraft.

The message inside the card says "sending a hug" also from Hero Arts.

Hey everyone! I finally caved in and purchased the Hero Arts Delicate Blossoms clear set of stamps that I've been eyeballing for a while now! Here's the card I made with the first stamped image.

Flowers are colored with Copic Makers. The butterfly is a digital image that I colored using Photoshop Elements and had laying around. Just popped it on the card at the last minute using some dimensional foam tape. The card base is harvest gold cardstock from Papertrey Ink. and the green is from Bazzill.

A bit of spring moss grosgrain ribbon is added for some interest and the sentiment is also from Hero Arts.

The card is kind of bright, but I felt that I needed to do something spring like since all we've been having lately is dull gray rainy weather! Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think.

Hi everyone! Here's a fun card that I did this past weekend using the Sew Thankful set from The Angel Company.

The sewing machine is stamped in Archival black ink from Ranger - I experimented with so many different black inks to get a good solid impression without having to resort to black embossing powder! I decided to give it an old fashioned look and got out the stipple brush and brushed on some Memento desert sand.

The big button is a from a bunch of chipboard shapes that I've had stashed away. I covered it using the Amberley Grace SWIC paper from TAC and tied a satin ribbon through the button holes. All paper is from the same collection except for the brown cardstock. I used a new stitch punch from EK Success on the left hand side to do the faux stitching. Love that punch!

Boys and Men - Red Baron

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend! Today I'm participating in the Boys and Men blog hop over at Capture the moment for Papertrey ink.

Here's the card I came up with.

I used the Fly Away mini stamp set from PTI and colored everything using Copic Markers. I did some fussy cutting and cut the plane and the sentiment banner out so that I could pop it up on the sky back ground. The clouds are done using the Picasso brass stencil, a dauber and Memento summer sky ink.

The scallops are cut from the Quickutz cookie cutter die using pure poppy cardstock. The argyle embossing folder was used on the Blueberry sky cardstock. I did end up using some ribbon (sorry boys) on this to separate the layers, which I just got from Ribbons and Bows Oh My.

Masculine cards are so typically hard to make. I struggle with little boy cards so this challenge was a lot of fun! What do you think?

TAC's Golden Egg card makers challenge

Hello everyone! There's a challenge going on over at the Savvy Projects blog called the Golden Egg card makers challenge.

What's in the Golden Egg? (Items that have to be on your card):

1. GLITTER ~ Prisma glitter or glitter pens ... it just has to have glitter!
2. LAYERS ~ At least 3!
3. COLOR ~ At least 3 colors or more! Ink, prisma pencils, copics, etc.
4. RIBBON or SCRAPPERS FLOSS
5. FLOWERS ~ At least 1!

Here's the card I made for this challenge!


All paper, ribbon and stamps are from The Angel Company. I used a glue pad to ink up the edge design stamp and stamped it on the green, then sprinkled glitter all over it and let dry. I usually don't have very good luck with glue pads but I got it to work this time around!

Tulips are colored with Copic markers and I used one of the long rectangle nesties to cut and emboss it.

CAS - I appreciate you!

Hi everyone! Next Wednesday is Administrative Professionals Day. Here's the CAS card I made for my wonderful Admin Assistant - who is totally awesome!

Stamps are from Papertrey Ink called Flower fusion #2. I used chalk inks from Studio G and the hot pink ink just happened to match the Hibiscus Burst cardstock from PTI. Lucky! I cut out and embossed the panel using a square nestability and then popped it up using foam tape.

The embossing is done using the square lattice folder made by sizzix for SU. This card actually measures 4.5 x 4.5 square. I added a black self adhesive pearl from Kaisercraft to the center of the flower for some dimension.


Here's a peek at the finished inside of the card. I used a dauber to ink up the outside of the label and a black glaze gel pen to put dots on the centers of the flowers to match the one on the front.

Designer coffee cup

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This card was created for a friend who has a particular flair for collecting the coolest designer coffee cups. I specifically bought this set from The Angel Company (cup of love) due to both of the cool cups in the set.

I stamped it in Memories black ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. I colored it using Copic markers and a black glaze gel pen.

Labels 4 used to cut out the sentiment (TAC wonderful news set) and added some really cool new gathered black ribbon. You might have to enlarge the picture to see the details, but it's a fun ribbon.

The designer paper is from Carol Wilson that I got at a LSS over a year ago. I had this paper in mind when I colored the cup. Lovin how it turn out!
