Hi all! I've been playing around with the my new tattered leaves die from Tim Holtz Alterations line. Here is what I made out of all the leaves I cut out.
Here's a close up of the leaves and the acorns.
I cut everything out of light weight chipboard. Then painted a thin layer of white on to them in order to give it a base coat to work off of. I also added some crackle medium, which ended up just giving it a shine instead of the crackle effect I was going for! I didn't paint it on thick enough, I guess.
To get the leaves the color of fall, I used a combination of Distress dyes, Alcohol inks and distress inks, all from Ranger.
The twig is cut from brown cardstock using the die from Memory Box. The Acorn die is from Lil' Inker Designs.
I got the grape vine wreath at Wal*Mart for $5.00 and the chipboard was recycled from the backs of writing tablets. Even the ribbon was recycled - it came wrapped around a dog blanket.
Thanks for stopping by!
