Congratulations

Hello. Playing in this weeks CAS(e) this sketch.

I created the stamp using a die from Carta Bella and fun foam. Inked it up with Palette Jardin Moss ink and stamped it once and then did a second generation right next to it.

Added the congratulations sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and a little twine bow. Pierced Dot die is from MFT stamps (it's one of their retired Blueprints dies).   I chose a dark green cardstock for the card base on this.

Thanks for stopping in.

Thanks for being there!

Hello all. Playing in the CAS marvelous metallic challenge over at The Paper Players today.

Oh Em Gee - this card was so frustrating to try and take a good picture of.  Gray rainy days will do that, I guess.

Anyway, I inked up the solid leaf in several distress oxide inks (scatter straw, carved pumpkin and candied apple) and then used Versamark to stamp the veins. Gold embossing powder from Hero Arts used for that and the sentiment. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

To create the splatters, I used my Kuretake watercolor paint in gold. In real life it glitters very prettily. Gold mirror cardstock used for card base and to layer the sentiment.

Sparkle inside and out

Hi all. Here's my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. I also added some bling for the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Back ground is done with distress oxide ink in tumbled glass. I took the snowy scene cover die from Memory Box and a wet paper towel to create the soft snowflake outlines. Snowflakes die and sentiment are from Technique Tuesday. I used glitter paper and brushed silver cardstock to cut out the snowflakes. Once I got this all put together I misted it with sparkle shimmer spritz several times. In real life is sparkles, but it sure is hard to photograph.

Thanks for stopping in! Have a great weekend!

Tic-Tac_toe challenge - get well soon!

Hi everyone. It's time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week our challenge is the use the following graphic.

I used the quartet stamp 8501-U, Friends Quartet and stamped it in pure poppy red ink. I used my misti so that I could get a good dark impression. I did change up the sentiment on the left bottom square so that it goes with the TTT challenge. Added a bow and some black self adhesive pearls for the flower centers. I used an old piercing stencil from Stampin Up! to add the piercing around the outside.

CAS birthday card

Hi everyone. Playing in several challenges today.  Started off using the sketch over at CAS(e) this sketch.

Flower stamp is from Inspired by Stamping. I did cut off a few leaves and buds to just focus on the flowers. I did watercolor wash in pink and purple distress and oxide inks. Spritzed it with water and added some wink of stella for bling and sparkle.

Leaf stems are cut from dies from Carte Bella. I added some detailing with forest green ink from hero arts. Sentiment is from Bible Verses.

Adding this into the following challenges:

Best witches

Hello. Playing in the Freshly Made Sketch this week.

Witch is from My Favorite Things. Stamped in versafine ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powder, then colored with Copic's. The spider and the sentiment are from Studio G. It's one of those $1 stamp sets that used to be so popular at Michael's. The bats are from a spool of ribbon, I just cut two off and attached with glue dots. The webbing is also ribbon.

I cut a circle out of copy paper and used it as a stencil to create the moon using distress oxide inks in scattered straw and spiced marmalade.

I think this turned out rather cute. Thanks for stopping by.

Also including this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of stamp it.

Designers Choic Challenge - things beginning with a B

Hello! Today is our Designers Choice Challenge over at The House That Stamps Built, and Heather's choice is: Things beginning with a B.

I chose to stencil some Balloons. Then I had to embellish them so that they were a bit different than normal. Distress oxide inks used. I used a Copic multi liner to draw the strings using a ruler. This gave it a dotted line look and I went with it because it was different.

I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment horizontally to fit with the card.

Metallic dragonfly

Dragonfly stamp is from Repeat impressions and is stamped in versamark ink so that I could heat emboss it with Silver metallic embossing powder. The sentiment is from Poppy stamps and it is also heat embossed in silver. I also layered it with some silver cardstock.

Stencil is from Tim Holtz - used tumbled glass distress oxide ink to do a section of the stencil in the center of the card base.

That's it for today. thanks for stopping in.
