Hearts

Hello. Playing in several challenges today.  I started off with this weeks Sunday Stamps sketch, paired it with the color challenge over at The Paper Players and then made two for the twofer challenge.

I used an older set from PrintWorks, which doesn't seem to be on their site any longer. The heart with the dot above it and the love is from the set.  That is white scrappers floss that is used to tie that bow. Stitched heart is from Paper Smooches and the bigger heart die is from MFT. I did use the heart 3D embossing folder on the white panel, you can see it on top but it's not all that clear at the bottom. Night shadows were really hard to edit out this evening.

The row of mini hearts is actually a die. I used a ruler to draw lines as a guide to get it straight. The die has 9 little hearts, so I had to cut it out four times. I did go rouge and left one white heart in on purpose. I have no idea who make this die, and I'm quite positive it's part of a bigger set.  The "thanks" is cut out three times, glued together and then I added a bit of shine to it. In real life it looks pretty cool!

Thanks for stopping in....

  1. What darling designs, Laurie! I love your stacked and glossy thanks in your first card ~ it looks terrific on my monitor, too! The little border hearts (maybe from MFT?) work great for creating a panel and I love how you left one filled in! Your kraft second card is an awesome take on the sketch! All the panels and the hearts are layered perfectly on the embossed heart background and it's all tied up sweetly with the gingham ribbon! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #2!! Hugs, Darnell

  7. Awesome cards - love the shine on our words and the gingham ribbon and scrappers floss had me on the first card. Love that you left one of the hearts white. Eye catching.

  8. Pretty cards especially nice to see a touch of red gingham ribbon, and your 'thanks' looks amazing with the glossy accents doing a great job of drawing your eye in x

  9. 2 fab cards for this Feb challenge.Love the design layout on #1 with the CAS look of double border hearts. Clever use of a die to create such an attractive border to frame the dimensional thanks. I loved your idea of leaving one little white heart too. #2 also has a design I like very much, with the elements arranged as you did. Like the combo of the kraft, white & red and the sweet little gingham ribbon. TFS
