Hi all! I'm playing in the CASology week 200 CAS challenge and here is my card.
It's extremely clean and simple and could very easily be massed produced.
Die is from Memory box and colored with distress inks and attached with tiny foam squares to pop it up off of the white panel.
Sentiment is from My Favorite Things.
I popped up a white panel onto the white card base using foam tape to give this a bit of depth.
Thanks for stopping by!

Grate
Hi everyone! I had to share this card I made for a co-worker who came out to Seattle to help me present a class. He's from So Cal and we had a great time working the class room together.
Stamps are from The Sweetstamp shop.
I took some Butter dye ink from Lawn Fawn and using the round blending tool blended the ink in a circle. I did stamp the sentiment, cheese and grater first and heat set them before doing the ink blending.
Mounted this onto a black card base, added a white card insert to write on inside the card and called it good. You know guys, they like their cheesy cards clean and simple.
That's all for today, for those in the USA, have a terrific Memorial Day weekend. I'm off to try and sell things from my Dad's estate so I can list the property for sale. Wish me luck!

May Sketch Challenge
Hi everyone. Here is the sketch for May over at Repeat Impressions, The House that Stamps Built.
I used one of the new stamps that just came out called Flower Power Separates to make the card for the sketch challenge.
This flower said poinsettia to me so that it what I went with. I stamped it in Versamark, then heat embossed using gold embossing powder.
Then I took my Copic's and colored them up to reflect the red gorgeous blossoms you find at Christmas.
I did a bit of foiling on the band using just some double sided tape. Then I popped up a single poinsettia with some leaves using foam tape.
MFT blueprints 21 dies used to create the dotted pierced border and the top half circle.
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping in.

A birthday hello
Well, I haven't played with a Mojo Monday sketch in ages but this one really caught my eye. It has the right mix to be done up in a really striking clean and simple design.
Peony stamp is from Altenew and stamped with a mixture of pink inks.
Hello die and sentiment is from WPlus9. I added a soft shade of pink behind the white panel after adding the piercing double stitch border. I felt the border just adds that extra detail to keep the card visually interesting.
Black and pink are such a classic color combo that I love to use quite frequently in card making.
That's it for today - thanks for popping by!

RI project of the week - faux silk
Hi everyone! It's my turn to host the project of the week over at The House That Stamps Built for Repeat Impressions and I chose to do the faux silk technique. Deonna did some stamping on tissue paper last week, so I hope you didn't put your supplies away.
Supplies needed:
Tissue paper
Stamp/ink - 211-P, Chickadee at Rest - you can find it here.
School Glue
Paint Brush
Cardstock
To start off the faux silk technique, stamp your image onto tissue paper and let dry.
Once the ink is dry, crumble up the tissue paper really well and then gently unfold.
You will need to locate some old fashioned school glue (Elmer's use here) and a paint brush to apply the glue to a cardstock panel cut to what ever size your project is. You will want to make sure that the stamped tissue paper over hangs this piece of cardstock. Carefully lay your stamped image over the cardstock and let dry slightly. The glue can be really wet depending upon how much you used (go light) and you could tear your tissue.
Gently smooth out the wrinkles, but don't over do it, you want it to have texture. Now turn it over and fold over the tissue and adhere to the back, this will create a better visual look without any rough edges.
I did not color the image but you can. Just be very careful as it will bleed through and color can get every where.
I did take a wide Copic marker in W1 and swiped it over the image to give it a bit of a color wash. Just needed to warm it up a bit to finish off this masculine card.
This is one technique that I find I go back to quite a bit because of the unique texture you can get from the tissue paper when crumbling it up. I hope this inspires you to give this technique another run through!

Distress watercolor smooch technique used on this background stamp. I also added some Spectrum sparkle to highlight the flowers. IrResistible black ink used on some of the flower centers too. Die cut "thank you" is from the Tim Holtz line.

Many thanks
Hello. I had to take a crafting break (translation: step away from the work computer) in order to stay sane today and came up with this for this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.
I paired it with the fun with felt challenge going on over at Simon Says Stamps.
The sentiment came with a die in a set that I picked up at Hobby Lobby and I can't remember who makes it. I stamped it in Versafine then heat embossed using clear embossing powder so that it stands out a bit.
I used a flower trio die that I picked up at a stamp show to cut out the flowers. Yellow felt is from PTI and the green is from MFT. I used some mono-multi glue to glue the flowers and leaves together and then added the black centers using the black Viva perlen pen. Green cardstock is from Hero Arts.
OK, back to my day job now. Thanks for stopping by.

Repeat Impressions Photo Inspiration
Hi everyone! Here is the photo inspiration to work from over at The House that stamps built for Repeat Impressions. Link here.
I really was challenged big time with this one. I just couldn't get my green's to work right. The darker colors I used were all too dark. So, I ended up going with a lighter green and came up with the following two cards.
This one is water colored after stamping in Versamark and heat embossing with white embossing powder. Added a few dew drops for interest. I'm liking the soft muted look of this. Zig Kuretake real brush markers used to water color.
This one is brighter still..... Same stamps except this is colored in Copic's.
Added white Nuvo Cyrtal Drops for the centers of the flowers, the black dots are done with a irRESISTible pen. The curve is done using a border die for added interest and then I decided to stamp a bit on the inside of the card.
Don't forget to go by the The House that Stamps Built to check out what the other Rock Stars did with this challenge. Also, we'd love for you to play along. One lucky person will win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate!

I've got your back!
Hi everyone. I got a few minutes to play around with the new challenge over at The Paper Players and here is what came about.
Stamps and dies are from Simon Says Stamp.
I stamped both animals in versafine and heat embossed with clear embossing powder so that I could color with Copic's.
To get the Giraffe print on the giraffe, I used a parts of a stencil and a fine multi-liner Copic pen.
The side panel is a piece of mulberry paper that was colored with distress inks to go with the wild animal theme. Doodlebug designs candy dots along the bottom balance out the card.
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by.

Hello
Hi there. Here is my take on the challenge over at Just Us Girls. It's trend week and the key word is Vellum.
Stamps are from Simon Says Stamp.
I stamped everything in Versamark and then heat embossed it using white detail embossing powder from Ranger.
To color the vellum, I got out my Zig water color markers and using a small round paint brush and water added the colors. Once dry, I add on some sparkle using the clear Wink of Stella pen.
To get the vellum to stay on the cardstock, I added some Stick it! to the back of it. I did burnish it using my bone folder, but as you can see, it's not a perfect way to glue down the vellum.
Purple cardstock is from MFT. White satin bow colored with Copic's and ties using the Bow Easy.
Close up of the sparkle.
That's it for today. Thanks for dropping by.

Yellow polka dot bikini
Hi everyone! It's one layer time over at Less is More and the theme they want to see is at Sea. Here is my interpretation of it.
Stamps are from Stamping Bella. I stamped it in versafine ink and then heat embossed using clear embossing powder.
Colored with Copic's.
I think I need to have whatever cocktail she is having! And to be laying in the sand by the sea relaxing would be wonderful.
That's all for now. Thanks for stopping in!

RI Designers Choice Challenge
Hello! This week at The House That Stamps Built, Joy is our hostess and she has requested that we use up our leftover supplies/paper. Here is what I did with it.
All stamps are from Repeat Impressions. I stamped the cup on cream colored cardstock and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder so that I could color with Copic's.
I had the mint and flower designer paper in my stash for a while now and was just waiting for a good time to use it. The kraft cardstock is left over after cutting out a mesh panel.
I used white satin ribbon and colored it with Copic' to match the cardstock colors and tucked it behind the cup panel. Stitched square die is from My Favorite Things.
Coffee colored candy dots are from Doodlebug Designs.
Thanks for stopping by and do drop by the rest of the rock stars blogs to see what they did with this challenge.
