Holiday Greetings
Hello. Here is my take on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.
I just got this poinsettia die from Poppy stamps and had to play with it. I cut out the flower petals using pure poppy cardstock from Papertrey, Ink. I then used the darkest color of red in the Ombre ink set from Hero Arts to distress around the edges.
The leaves were cut from green cardstock then I used the grass green distress ink from Ranger to distress the outside.
Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink. Designer paper is from The Paper Studio and the wide ribbon is from my ribbons stash. Rectangle stitched dies are from Lil' Inker.
I actually just bought new designer paper for Christmas and then came home and tossed a bunch of old out of my paper stash. It was time to get rid of the stuff that I will never use! I feel so much better now! (grin)
That's it for today, thanks for stopping by!
Wish you would come to my house and go through my paper stash, I guess I am truly a paper hoarder. This card is simply stunning.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, Laurie! Love that sketch, too. Maybe I will get to play this week, it's been a long time since I participated in their challenge :-(
ReplyDeleteThis card is gorgeous! I love your interpretation of the sketch. The paper is perfect and the ribbon and poinsettia make it look elegant.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Laurie! Great combo of paper, poinsettia and ribbon!
