Hello! Showing off a new stamp I just bought from Technique Tuesday using this weeks Freshly Made Sketch. I did alter the sketch just a bit to work with the stamp.
The daffodil is Technique Tuesday Greenhouse Society stamp for January. I really like it because it's just the right size to work with. I stamped it in MFT hybrid black ink and then used Copic's to color.
The leaf back ground is done using peeled paint distress ink and gesso. You basically cover the stamp with distress ink then add a light layer of gesso and stamp. Love the effect.
Hello stamp is from Winnie and Walter and is stamped on some pastel green vellum. I did heat emboss it using clear embossing powder. Cut it out using the stitched fishtail banners from MFT. The Daffodil's are cut out using the rectangle stitched die from Lil' Inkers. Green cardstock is embossed using the lattice folder.
I know some of you are still under heavy snow, but here we are seeing signs of spring and my daffodils and tulips are starting to peak through the ground. Spring is right around the corner! Thanks for stopping by!
Pretty - love Easter Lilies and the green vellum embossed with the sentiment is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, lucky you to have daffodils and tulips starting to sprout! No wonder you were inspired to create such a pretty spring card!
ReplyDeleteNow this is a breath of spring-time fresh air! Your daffodil's are colored so beautifully! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card! So glad you explained how you did the background, anxious to try it. I'm ready for the outdoors to look like this.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous! I adore the image you've used! I grew up in the country and these flowers grew wild everywhere - we used to pick daily and give them to my mum! (I'm sure she was sick of them!) Thanks for joining us at FMS this week!
