Mixed Media tag

Hi everyone! I saw this challenge come through to create a mixed media tag and thought I'd give it a try.

I started with a tag from Prima called tag pad by Julie Nutting.

Using a stencil from Crafter's Workshop and some modeling paste I added the diamonds onto the lower half of the tag. Once dry I used the turquoise pan pastel to add color.

The top right is done using die cut's, tumbled glass distress ink and the turquoise pan pastels.

The grunge stamp is from Technique Tuesday and I stamped it in Potting soil Archival Ink. Then when it was still kind of tacky, I smudged it up and added more turquoise.

Burlap flower is from The Paper Studio and a button from American Crafts is added with a tiny string bow. I don't think you can see it in the picture, but I added some turquoise polka dots to the button.

Believe stamp is from Gina K Designs and the gold spray is irRESISTible from Imagine crafts. Lastly, I ordered some colored jute string from a gardening magazine a long time ago and finally got to use some of it on this tag. I did spray this with a sealer after I was done.

Again, the challenge is from Mixed Media Mojo and the August challenge is Tags. I'm also adding this to CAS(E) this sketch and Tag your it which is all about tags too.

  1. I love your mixed media projects - I am just not "brave" enough to give it a try but...just maybe with your inspiration I might have to.
