LIM Sketch #12 - Winter wishes

Hi everyone. Here is my take on the sketch over at Simply Less is More.

The funny thing about this sketch is that it's a wonderful clean and simple sketch that had me pretty stumped yesterday.

I finally had that ah ha moment when I was looking at my image stash area. That's the area where I keep images that I've colored or stamped just waiting to be made into a card. I had this mitten pair colored out in red and cut into a circle tapped onto the drawer and when my eyes finally settled on it, the creative juices started flowing.
The mitten stamp is from Verve. It is stamped in Versafine, heat embossed with clear embossing powder then colored with B34 and B37 Copic markers. I fussy cut them apart and popped them up using foam tape.

The snowflakes and sentiment are from Papertrey, Ink. I stamped the snowflakes in white pigment ink and then heat embossed them using white EP. Next, I sponged on some blue ink and then wiped off the excess on the snowflakes with a paper towel. Dark navy cardstock used to layer the circle.

White scrappers floss used to tie the mittens back together.

Also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - keep it clean and simple.

Thanks for stopping by! Off to clean house and do laundry. Yuk, I'd rather be stamping!
