Hi everyone! Whew! Where did January go? It sure flew by for me! Here's a card I just completed that I thought turned out really cute!
Cowboy stamp is from Victorine Originals and colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from The Angel Company.
I used the rectangle and long rectangle nesties dies to cut out both the sentiment and the cute little guy. Layered with dark green cardstock from Bazzill.
The swirl of studs is from Prima Marketing. I just cut off a section (it's a self adhesive strip) and laid it down on the card.
The green bandana was actually an ivory colored paisley designer paper and I used Peeled paint distress ink to make it a green to go with my color combo.
What do you think?

Dark pink flower
Hey everyone! I just received three of the newly released Copic colors and put two of them to use in this card. This was last weeks SCS sketch by the way.
G43 Pistachio and R56 Currant used to draw directly onto the stamp (A*Muse Studio) and then I spritzed it with rubbing alcohol to get the water colored effect as it is stamped onto water color paper. I used the same R56 to color the the satin ribbon.
Designer paper is from Kaisercraft. The green self adhesive pearls are from Queen and Co. The dies are from Papertrey, Ink as is the ivory cardstock that I used for the base of this card.
Thanks for stopping in!

True love forever
Hi everyone! I'm back from having no power and from my business trip to Las Vegas. I can't wait to get into the studio to play around a bit! Here is a Valentines day card that I did a few weeks ago!
This is a card I made out of a lot of die cuts using designer papers and some stamping. Dies are from Sizzix, Quickutz, and Verve. I used designer paper pieces from my stash of leftovers. The scorepal was used to score lines for the stamped sentiment (Papertrey, Ink).
Red twine was tied into a bow on one of the hearts and a white sharpie paint pen was used to add the white dots on the far right heart.
I like how clean this one turned out! What do you think?

Power outage!
Hi everyone! I have been without power due to our lovely winter weather and I'm without means to post anything new. The latest news is that it won't be back on until Wednesday (which makes it about a week).
I'm lucky that I get to head out to Las Vegas for business Monday through Thursday, so I'll be warm and having a bit of fun! Unfortunatley, all my pictures of my latest cards are in the home computer. Once I get home and the power/internet have been restored, I'll post again.
Thanks!

Flying by...
Hello - snow update....total of 11 inches where I live! YUK! However, it's a snow day and I had time to play with this weeks SCS sketch.
Butterfly stamp is from The Angel Company (I think it was called wings and shadows) and the sentiment is from Victorine Originals.
Ivory cardstock from PTI used as a base, the I ran a smaller piece through the Swiss dots embossing folder so that it would match the Swiss dots dp from Bazzill.
I used distress inks in scattered straw, wild honey and spiced marmalade to make the paper that the butterflies and sentiment are stamped on. Punch is from Martha Stewart.
If you're on facebook, check out my snow 2012 album of pictures to see all fun we had with Noah today in the snow! Thanks for stopping in.

Heard you caught a bug
Hello! Another snow day here in Washington state. Thank goodness I didn't have to go out in it! I started playing around with the Mojo Monday sketch late last night and just now finished taking pictures. Darn battery in the camera went dead! Looks like I need to purchase a back up!
All stamps are from Victorine Originals. Frog is colored with Copic's in G21, 24 and 28. I added a bit of glossy accents to his eyes so that they would bug out (no pun intended) and stickles to the wings of the fly so that they would stand out.
Designer paper is from Basic Grey, Wisteria paper pack. Black and spring green grosgrain ribbon are from RABOM.
We are suppose to get hit with another storm sometime in the wee hours tomorrow! It's predicted that it will drop about of foot of snow! I learned a valuable lesson with this - about a week prior when we had the heavy monsoon type rain all week, I was complaining pretty hard. We rarely get torential down pours, it's just a misty rain. I think Mother Nature is paying us back for my complaining! I'd take rain over this snow any day!

Birthday flower
Hey everyone! It's been snowing here in the Pacific Northwest for the last day and a half. Which means that I've had time to play in the studio!
This was inspired by a picture in my bathroom that had a shadow behind the main flower. So, I decided to see if I could create a very subtle shadow effect for this one. Stamp is from Paper Inspirations and stamped in Studio G light yellow chalk ink. Flower is from Memory Box and the sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.
Added some tiny pearls for the center of the flowers. The little leaves were painstaking colored with a Copic marker. The yellow ribbon was a lucky find in my ribbon stash that worked really good with the ink I used for the shadow. Green designer paper is from Hot Off The Press.
I thought I'd also share with you a picture of Noah playing in the snow this morning. He's a year old today!

Butterfly birthday wishes
Hey everyone! Wow - what a week it has been and I'm glad it went by quickly! Here's a birthday card done with some new stamps from Victorine Originals.
Butterflies were stamped randomly and then colored with Copic markers. I cut it apart in one inch strips and staggered the pieces up and down on the black card base.
Sentiment is cut out using the long rectangle nesties die. Layered with black and then a scalloped metallic silver. It's also popped up with foam tape.
The picture is a bit dark, but in real life it looks pretty cool. Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend!

A big thank you
Hello! I got this sentiment set from Papertrey, Ink for free when I placed my December order and had to play around with it.
The swirl stamp on the top and bottom of the die cut are from an undetermined stamp company that I found in my drawer. I thought they went pretty well with the sentiment. Everything is stamped in Archival jet black ink.
Designer paper is from Once Upon A Time from DCWV. Green cardstock is from Bazzill and the ivory is from PTI. I cut the dp with the bracket die from Tim Holtz alterations line. Then I popped up the bottom portion with some foam tape. Self adhesive gold pearls used inthe corners and ivory satin ribbon used behind the label die, which is from PTI.

Sketch Challenge at Victorine Originals
Hi everyone! I designed a sketch for the Victorine Originals blog challenge. The challenges usually last two weeks and if you participate you have a chance to win free stamps!
Here is the sketch.
and here is what I did with it!
Sentiment is from VO from the set Blank label and sayings set, which you can find here. The designer paper is from Kaisercraft.
I distressed the smaller vertical panel using Memento rhubarb stalk ink. The fancy doily like die is from Memory Box and cut out from a piece of cardstock from HOTP. Added a satin bow and ribbon in a rose color to match the cardstock and the colors in the dp. lastly, small self adhesive gold pearls added to the top right hand corner.
I kept it CAS for this one, but did use up some DP - which is my New Years Resolution - to use more dp on my cards so that I can begin to deplete my stash! So far so good!
Don't forget to head over to the VO stamp blog and participate in this challenge - the sketch is an easy one and can be used for anything!

3 hearts
Hello everyone! Since Valentines day is the next major holiday coming up, I thought I'd get a jump on card making now.
I used a die from Quickutz (lifestyle crafts) to cut out the hearts on the back of the kraft cardstock. Distress ink in vintage photo was daubered around the hearts to make them stand out a bit. Red polka dot designer paper is taped on between the red card base.
Pure poppy ink from Palette is used to stamp the sentiment which is from Papertrey, Ink and is all the dp and cardstock.
I like that this is clean looking, but it was not simple to line up the die three times even using a ruler and pencil! I guess I need to invest in a heart punch!(grin)

Mojo 222 sketch
Hello! Found some time today (on my last day off from work) to take down the decorations, do laundry and make a card for the Mojo Monday #222 sketch.
It was a good thing that I was multi tasking today because all the designer paper that I went through making this card was pretty funny. I really have got to get some red dp! In the end, I left it clean and simple.
Stamps are from Verve - Flutter by and Kind Words. I embossed the butterfly, colored with a Tombow marker, cut it out and popped it up using foam tape. The flowers are done with LePlume markers and spritzed with water.
As you can see, I left the pennant top hanging over the card base. I was going to cut it off, but I like how it added some interest to the card. The red designer paper that I did happen to find, is from Kaisercraft. Self adhesive pearls used for the flower centers and on the left hand side.
