Digi Shack Wednesday Challenge

Hi everyone! Today's challenge at the Digi Shack was to make a non-traditional card shape. No A2 or square cards. Here are my two cards for this challenge!

I used the labels 8 die from Spellbinders to cut out the card base. The image is colored with Copic markers and then cut out with a labels 1 die and layered with a muted yellow card stock. Green gingham ribbon is attached on the left hand side. The bow is tied using the bow easy and attached with a glue dot. I love the clean and simple lines of this card!

This one is cut out using the top note die from SU! I ran the card stock through the Victorian cuttlebug embossing folder first. Deckled rectangles were used to cut out the main image and the purple layer. The fairy Godmother image is colored with Copic's and highlighted with a stardust pen. When I saw this image, all I did was giggle! I just had to color her in lavender because that's what I remember my granny wearing a long time ago! Tee Hee!! The organdy ribbon is really a deep purple, but didn't photograph real well. I can just image all the smart aleck sentiments/sayings that you could put inside this card! The possibilities are endless!

All card stock is from Bazzill and both images are from The Digi Shack!

Don't forget to visit the Design Team members blogs to see what they came up with for this challenge! Thanks for stopping by and have a funtastic day!
