Playing with Copic's!

Hi everyone! I've been playing around - or more specifically practicing using my Copic's. I signed up for a class at my LSS and learned a few things, but mostly pick up tricks and techniques from blogs and tutorials I found on the web.

So, here are two cards I just finished.

This first one is a card I just sent off as a RAK! The envelope was done using my colorless blender and the gray N2 marker. I used a piece of plastic and scribbled some of the gray onto it and then picked it up with the blender to color in the shading. Flowers are done with R83 and R85.

The back ground paper is from Making Memories. Stamps are from Artful Inkables. Velta from my SCS blogging sisters inspired me with this stamp set. She has some wonderful examples on her blog which you can find here.

This card is the one I'm most proud of. I really had a great time blending the yellows into the daffodils! This one took a long time to do, but it was so relaxing to sit down and color this one. I got this stamp for free at my LSS, due to finally filling out my punch card. It's made by Northwoods rubber stamps.

I decided to make this card a 5 x 7 since the stamp is so big. The golden yellow card stock is from AC cardstock. I sponged on some thatched straw chalk ink from Versamagic onto the white card base. I dug out a stamp set called bold patterns from HOTP, that I don't think has ever seen ink. I used the damask border stamped in the same ink all over the sponged back ground. I added a golden yellow grosgrain bow to finish things off. The sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

So, off to play some more since it's raining and a perfect day to stay in doors!
