Hi everyone! I got a chance to play with this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I've been in Alaska this past week freezing my caboose off and didn't think I'd have the energy today to make it happen! Glad I did! Here's the sketch.
The purple vellum is cut out with the butterfly die from Prickley Pear and I used their stamp set to stamp the antenna using archival jet black ink from Ranger. I used a tiny piece of foam tape in the butterflies center to attached it to the white circle. To hide it, I added some purple rhinestones. The sentiment is from CTMH.
The cardstock is winter wisteria from PTI and the designer paper is from Paper Wishes. I've had that striped ribbon in my stash forever and finally got to use some with this card!

Carrot anyone?
Hello! Here's the last Easter card that I made! This little bunny sure loves his carrot!
Stamp is from Inky Antics and colored with Copic markers. I used the long rectangle die from Spellbinders to cut this little guy out as the image is pretty big. The pennants on the side are cut from dies from Papertrey.
White and black cardstock from PTI, grey from DCWV and the Pink is from HOTP.
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks a bunch
Hello! I hope this finds everyone doing well and being creative! Today's card is a CAS one with a bit of texture!
Stamps are from Penny Black! I stamped the tulips in Versafine ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder onto vintage creme cardstock. I've gotten so I hate to use memento ink anymore - it just doesn't give the coverage I'm looking for, even after I've re-inked the darn pad! Embossing the Versafine allows me to still color using Copic's.
I used the lattice embossing folder from SU to give this card some texture. The die I used to cut out the tulips is from Papertrey, Ink. I used pink cardstock from HOTP and the green is from Bazzill. the tiny gold pearls came from Michaels reflection line.

Waiting....
Hi everyone! Happy Spring! However, our spring-like weather sure is being a bit wacky lately. Yes, we are known for our "rain" in Washington State, but we've really been getting it lately. At least it's better than snow!!
So, with that in mind.....I'll wait for the sunshine!
Rain stamp and sentiment are from My Favorite Things, as is the umbrella die used to cut out the scrap designer paper. I outlined the umbrella using navy ink with a dauber to give it a bit of definition. Gray ink used to stamp the rain and the gold peals are from Kaisercraft.
Thanks for stopping by...I'm going to step outside to soak up that one lone ray of sunshine!

Brown polka dot paper is from PTI and the pink is from Tim Holtz collection. Seam binding used for the bow, which is tied with the bow easy.

Happy St. Pat's!
Hi everyone! I made this card a while ago so that I could share it when the holiday rolled around.

Paper is from Bazzill and the gray dp is from DCWV.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day - drink green beer! LOL!

Red rose
Hi everyone! I can't believe it's Wednesday already - time is really flying by this week! Here's a simple birthday card that I cased off of Pinterest.
Rose is from CTMH and colored with Copics. I used a yellow stardust pen to highlight the stamen's in the center of the flower. I also did a bit of fussy cutting and then popped this one up using foam tape.
Sentiment is from PTI. The white, pure poppy cardstock and polka dot dp is also from Papertrey, Ink. Spellbinders circle nesties used to create the cut out.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping in!

Trio of butterflies
Hi everyone! I'm glad the weekend is finally here, it's been a long week! Here's my card for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches. I kept it clean and simple.
Butterfly stamp and die are from PTI. Sentiment is from Kaisercraft.
Cardstock is from the Bazzill smoothies line. I do like the navy, yellow and lime green colors together, they are so striking!
I'm off to clean house! Hopefully I'll get done quickly so I can stamp some more! Thanks for stopping by!

It's your day!
Hi everyone! Time for another CAS card! I have been playing around with an idea on how to achieve a subtle and soft look using vellum. Here is what I came up with.
I used the stamp from the Larger than life set from PTI and colored it with Memento markers in Bamboo leaves and Rose bud. Did the huff and a puff and stamped two images onto a piece of white cardstock. I then did the same with a piece of vellum and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. The sentiment is also embossed to be consistent on the vellum. Click on the picture to enlarge it and see it more clearly!
I found three brads that matched the flower colors and attached the vellum to the white cardstock. I left the bottom free so that it could "float" free to create that soft look. Added the pink gingham bow with a glue dot to finish it off.
I had to take the picture with this laying flat so that you could see the over lapping of the flower stems, so it came out a bit dark. Oh well, in real life it's pretty cool looking!

Mojo Monday #283
Hi everyone! Here's my take on this weeks Mojo Monday sketch.
Stamps are from Verve. I stamped the butterfly in Versafine and then heat embossed using clear embossing powder, so that I cold color it with yellow Copic's.
Light blue card stock is embossed using the linen embossing plate. I had this in my scrap pile and decided to use it since it went with the designer paper below. DP is from Hot Off The Press.
The blue flowers came from Oriental Trading Co. that I've had like forever!!! Found a yellow and white dot brad for the center and the added some leaves to finish that element off.
What do you think? I think it's kind of blah, but that yellow butterfly sure does stand out! Thanks for stopping by!

Spring?
Hi everyone! The sun is shining here and looking a lot like Spring, however it sure is cold out with that wind blowing! Thought I'd post a happy spring card today using an old TAC set.
I stamped the daisy in canary ink from Colorbox and the leaf stem in Studio G chalk ink. I used the same green chalk ink on the left side polka dots, as well.
Sentiment is made up from the CTMH stamp set card word puzzle found here (page 101) and then cut out using the fishtail die from MFT. I decided to layer it in black cardstock so that it would stand out a bit! Green cardstock is from Bazzill. The white card base and the black cs are from PTI.

Cackle
Hi everyone! I get a kick out of this chicken every time I look at it. It's one of those images that just make you grin.
and the sentiment....funny!
Stamps are from Raisin Boat. I colored the chicken with Copic markers in C00, and C1 and orange and red in the appropriate places. I stamped the sentiment and then splattered ink onto it before cutting it with a circle nestie.
The red distressed gingham paper is from My Minds Eye. It and the black cardstock are cut with an edge border die from PTI.
Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!
