Anything goes challenge - lucky you

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week it's time for our ever popular "Anything goes" challenge.

I decided to get a jump on the St. Patrick's Day Holiday. I used a heart die and cut it out of green cardstock 4 times and put it together to resemble a four leaf clover. Stamped the lucky and you in green cardstock and then added some small gems.

You Cling Set can be found here:http://www.repeatimpressions.com/

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Party till the cows come home

Hello. Using the sketch over at The Paper Players as a jumping off point in the TGIC Challenge of masking.

Stamps are from Your Next Stamp. I used Inkadinkado masking paper to mask the cow. Colored with Copic's. Inside message says "party till the cows come home." yes, I just had to add the googlie eyes for a fun factor. Thank goodness I had enough!

I turned the sketch on its side to accommodate the number of my cows. Designer wood paper is from Moda Scrap that I just got from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

That's it for today. See ya, gotta get back to my household chores.

never change who you are

Hello, playing last minute in the Freshly Made Sketch challenge.

Petunia stamp is from Pretty Pink Posh. It's stamped in versamark, heat embossed with white detail embossing powder, heat set, then water colored with Arteza markers.

Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps. Banner die is from MFT.

The background panel is done using shaded lilac distress oxide ink. I made a spritz of watered down picket fence paint and spritzed it on to create the speckled back ground. Added a couple of drops of white Fabrika Decoru for added interest.

Also adding this into the Simon Says Stamp weekly Wednesday challenge - make your own background.

That's it for today.

Inspiration palette - just because

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following inspirational photo.

Aren't these crocuses awesome? They are colored with Zig real brush markers.

As you can see I chose to go with the color palette on the side. Since its a bit early for Hydrangeas, I decided to go with the flower that is always early and tells me spring is right around the corner.

Hearts

Hello. Playing in several challenges today.  I started off with this weeks Sunday Stamps sketch, paired it with the color challenge over at The Paper Players and then made two for the twofer challenge.

I used an older set from PrintWorks, which doesn't seem to be on their site any longer. The heart with the dot above it and the love is from the set.  That is white scrappers floss that is used to tie that bow. Stitched heart is from Paper Smooches and the bigger heart die is from MFT. I did use the heart 3D embossing folder on the white panel, you can see it on top but it's not all that clear at the bottom. Night shadows were really hard to edit out this evening.

The row of mini hearts is actually a die. I used a ruler to draw lines as a guide to get it straight. The die has 9 little hearts, so I had to cut it out four times. I did go rouge and left one white heart in on purpose. I have no idea who make this die, and I'm quite positive it's part of a bigger set.  The "thanks" is cut out three times, glued together and then I added a bit of shine to it. In real life it looks pretty cool!

Thanks for stopping in....

Send a card

Hello. Mailing out the following cards (most of them have already been shown here) to friends today based upon the SSS challenge, send a card to a friend day. I'm late sending them out by a couple of days, but they're still going out in today's mail.

I have so many cards that I need to start sending out or giving away, its pathetic. Starting on it now. Thanks for the challenge SSS. Link in the photo below.

Flowery heart

Hello. I bought this fabulous heart cut out die from Simon Says Stamp a while ago and have never really used it before now.

I played around with some alcohol inks on Yupo paper and used that in the background to peek out behind the flower cut outs in the heart. Added some Fabrika Decoru yellow for the centers on some of the flowers. Kept it pretty clean and simple and let the designs take center stage.

Playing in the SSS Wednesday challenge of It must be love with this one.

Designer Choice Challenge - you have a way with words

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week Rock Star Shirley has challenged us with: You have a way with words. Here is what I did with it.

Love is a die that I layered in black and red. The "you" is from the you sentiment cling set and that fabulous patchwork heart is item 819-F, over at Repeat Impressions. I stamped it in Versafine, heat embossed and then colored with Copic's.  The heart that is right next to the Love on the left is popped up with foam tape.

Each submission using a

thank you

Hello. Playing in the code word "teal" over at Addicted to CAS.

I used Distress ink in Peacock Feather to create background. I swiped the ink pad directly onto my craft mat and then spritzed it with water. Took a 80lb piece of Neenah solar white and swiped it through the wetness here and there to create what you see above. I did heat dry it and then layered some polka dots on using a large background stamp with white pigment ink from Hero Arts. Pierced rectangle die is from My Favorite Things.

Thank you dies are from The Ton.

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping in.

Cross stitch heart

Hello. Playing in several challenges today with this clean and simple card.

Tag die is from My Favorite Things. I found the pattern on their blog for cross stitching the heart and dug out some DMC floss to make this.

Valentine's day sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink as is the ribbon and the polka dot designer paper.

I popped up the tag using tiny foam squares and laid the sentiment strip on top. So, there is a bit of dimension to the card.

Have a great day!
