Designer's choice....movies

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week it's designers choice and Cheri wants us to make something that represents your favorite movie. Mine happens to be Hope Floats. Harry Connick Jr. is so wonderful in this movie and his love for Birdie is clearly evident. So, I could have gone a couple of ways with this theme. I chose to use the following stamps:

I used the 9116-N, Hot Air Balloon Cluster to create this card. I stamped the balloons in Versafine, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder so that I could color with Copic's. I used the Picasso stencil to create the clouds using sky blue ink from Memento and a dauber.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in one weekly challenge or all of them. The more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

This is such a fabulous scene Laurie, I like the deep colors on your balloons! I've not seen this movie, we will have to watch it.

Pretty copic coloring for your hot air balloons. It was neat to see you and Donna use the same image for two different movies and you both made it work so well.

Outstanding movie choice, Laurie, and your card is a perfect depiction of it. The bright colors you've used make me feel happy....great job with the challenge!

I don't think I've seen your movie, but I do like Harry Connick, Jr.! : ) A fabulous scene you've created; these balloon stamps sure have gotten a good workout with the DT this summer! But they're so perfect, they NEED to be used.
