Hello

Hi everyone! Here is my take (after many attempts) on this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

When I saw this sketch I had something different in mind.

No matter what I did, something went wrong with the first several attempts. It wasn't straight, the blue's didn't match, you name it, it went wrong. Never meant to be, I guess. So, I scrapped it (translated: wadded up, torn up and thrown away violently) and went with this one instead.

I think coloring the flowers with Copic's calmed me down enough to let the mojo flow. LOL!

Flower stamps are from Stamplorations called blooming buds. The "hello" is from The paper studio.

I used the plaid embossing folder from Provo Craft in the back ground to give this a bit of texture. It's popped up off the card base with foam tape.

Dusted off the rectangle and tag dies from Spellfinders to cut out the main image and that little tag. Bow Easy made it easy (pft) to tie that tiny bow. ;-)

OK, back to work. Thanks for stopping by!

Lol...I think our definition of 'scrapped' is about the same! Did a bit of that myself, today! Your pink turned out so pretty, that I'm sorta glad the blue didn't work! Love the plaid embossing folder behind the focal pieces - it's perfect! Great job, dear friend - hope you're doing well. Thanks for sharing...

Such a pretty card Laurie! Love those pink flowers! I must admit I've had many, many a card that has ended up being flung violently into the garbage! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!

Love the pink flowers - and love the layout too. Hoping to get some creative time in today. Just noticed the pretty embossing folder.
