You are so loved

Hello everyone! I used this weeks sketch Saturday and linked a few other challenges with it as well.

Just us girls has a photo for inspiration (picture below) that I went with. Liked the color combo of pink, white and gray and the circles drew me in too.

The pink heart is cut from a die from Simon Says Stamps. I used a pink ink pad from Colorbox to color it after cutting it out of white cardstock. Then to get some shine, I heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. I also cut out another one and using a few pieces of foam tape in the 1/16 size, I doubled it up to give it further dimension. This is for showCASe your style; use a die cut.

Banner die is from Papertrey, Ink and the sentiment stamps are from Wplus9. The circle stamps are from My Favorite Things that I took a pair of scissors to. There were 3 all together and I just had to separate them.

That's it for today. Back to the Seahawks game. I had to take a break as it was just too nerve wracking for me! LOL. Thanks for stopping by!

It's a celebration

Hi everyone! I was inspired by the following picture and challenge this month over at Papertry, Ink.

It's all about using gold and silver in your creation. Here is what I did with it.

Sentiment comes from the Birthday Bash set. I stamped it in Versamark and then heat embossed using silver embossing powder.

The sparklers are an old stamps from Lizzie Anne Designs. It too, is stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

The rectangle stitched die is used to cut it out and then backed with a layer of black cardstock. Die is from Lil' Inker Designs. The stitched fishtail banners are from My Favorite Thing and I used some gold and silver mirror cardstock to match the embossing.

This card could be used for an anniversary, birthday or a New Years cards. Surprised how versatile it ended up being. The background in the picture is a bit dark due to me fiddling with it to make the embossing stand out. Oh well, it works.  Thanks for hopping by!

Anniversary card

Hi everyone! Merry Christmas!!! I've been tinkering around in the craft room while the turkey is the oven and the family is snoozing. I really liked this sketch from Paper Craft Crew Challenge that I saw and clicked on while surfing Pinterest.  It doesn't have any SU products or stamps on it, but the challenge rules state that I can still play along! Yea!

This actually has very limited stamping on it. The sentiment is from the Mixed Messages set from Papertrey, Ink. The flower that is stamped on the half circle is from Purple onion designs. I stamped it in Versamark and then heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder. Tiny black pearls and adhered to the flower center to make it stand out a bit more.

The designer paper is from the Renew collection from Authentique. I used the cool shadow Copic marker to color the white satin ribbon and then used the bow easy to tie it into a tiny bow. That is black scrappers floss behind it twirled up using my piercing tool.

Dies used are from My Favorite Things and the tiny tag is from Paper Smooches. I went with a normal A2 card with the sketch instead of a square.

Waddle I do without you?

Hi everyone! Here is a mixture of two challenges. Less is more is doing a "family" theme and the sketch comes from The Friday Mashup!

One of the sister ducks is leaving the pond, hence the sentiment. Giggle! Anyway, the stamps are from the former There She Goes. I stamped everything in versafine and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then colored with Copic's.

Kept this very clean and simple with a lot of white space. TFM wanted us to use a bit of grunge behind the main panel (which I turned) but thought it would be more fun to create the scene instead.

I did use foam tape to pop up the girls so that they stood out a bit more.

Off to do some Holiday baking! Thanks for stopping by!

Anyone

Hello! I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired of making Christmas cards. I just finished addressing and put mine in the mail today. So, now I'm on to whatever else catches my eye. Here is this weeks Freshly Made Sketch using some new stamps from My Favorite Things. Yes, I tweaked the sketch a bit too!

I just love this sentiment that comes in the Whimsical Wishes set. There is a get well soon stamped on the inside.

The tulips are die cut out of white cardstock then colored with Copic's. I have NO clue who the die comes from. I've gotten into the habit now of writing in white paint pen on the back of dies of who makes them, but this one was missed. The white cardstock is cut using one of the new blueprints dies that was just released from MFT.

Red houndstooth cardstock is from Bazzill Basics. The green is from my stash. Those flat green dots are from Studio Calico and are a pretty close match in color to the cardstock.

I used some 1/16 thick foam pieces of tape to pop up the tulips. I was going to add a couple of more die cuts to get a bit more thickness, but it was darn hard to get them to line up. I just gave up and popped it up instead. Works!

OK, off to find something to eat. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy in pink

Hi everyone! Just a quick post to show case some new stamps and dies on a clean and simple card.

The big Happy and the birthday sentiments are stamps from Mama Elephant. I got the Happy word die to go with this too! Can't wait to use it.

The fishtail dies are from My Favorite Things. The white one is from the latest blueprints set and the other is the smallest stitched die, which happened to work pretty good as a layer beneath the white one.

Flower stamp is from Purple Onion Designs. It's stamped in Sugar and Pink Lemonade Fresh Ink from Impress Rubber Stamps.

I made the pink flower centers and the black dot by baking pony beads in the oven. I have so many colors to play with now.

That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Santa in sleigh

Hi everyone! It's one layer time over at Less is More and the theme this time around is snow!

The Santa in the sleigh stamp comes from Plum Purdy and is colored with Copic's.

I used my snow stencil that I just got from Simon Says Stamp to layer on some molding paste for the snow. I also dusted it with glitter while it was still wet to add some sparkle.

Off to get my Christmas tree once my DH gets his act together. He's been goofing off on FB instead of paying bills and it has put us behind about two hours. I just should have left his rear end and home and did it myself! Ugh, men!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Tree in burlap

Hey everyone! I'd stamped up a few of these tree's up and had them colored and ready to be make into cards, when I saw this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

I just had to tweak the sketch a bit to make it work!

The little tree stamp is from Plum Purdy that I've had in my Christmas stamp stash for a while now. I sure wish that she would make more of her paintings into stamps. They are sooo cute.

I stamped it in Versafine ink and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder so that I could color the sack. In my mind it's burlap and used E31, E35 and E37 Copic's to color. Added a bit of clear wink of Stella glitter to the star that I colored using Y21.

Black scrappers floss used to tie the bow. The bottom scallop was cut out using the smallest die from Lifestyle crafts on a canvas like material. Then using E37, I colored it to match the bag. The embossing folder is from Taylored Expressions aptly named burlap. Sentiment is from PTI and was stamped prior to running the kraft cardstock through the cuttlebug. I can't believe how well it lined up on the first try!

Well, that is it for today. Thanks for stopping by!

Silver

Hi everyone! I got a chance to put together this real quick clean and simple card for the CASology week 125 challenge.  The que card word is Silver!

I dug out some silver metallic cardstock from DCWV to use as the base of this card.

The die is from My Favorite Things that I got for free because I couldn't control my spending! LOL, you have to spend over $60 dollars in order to get a free die. Anyway, I've used this die several times to make really fast Christmas cards. So many possibilities with not only the background, but the cut out's as well.

The sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink and I stamped it in Versamark and then heat embossed it using silver embossing powder. I took a close up picture of it due to the fact that it really doesn't look like it's embossed in the picture at right!

I did use some foam squares to pop the white cardstock up off of the silver. This gives it a bit of dimension!

That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by!

I also want to do a shout out that my snow scene card a couple of posts down was chosen as one of the honorable mentions for the Merry Monday challenge! WooHoo!

It's the most wonderful

Hello! Whipped this one up to go along with the weeks Mojo Monday Sketch!

Mitten and sentiment stamps are from Verve. I stamped the mittens in Versafine ink and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. Then colored with the R29 Copic marker. I stamped the snowflakes onto the mittens using white craft ink and a small snowflake stamp from my Christmas stamp stash.

Added some tiny black and white pearls from Recollections to the center of the snowflake and next to the sentiment to add some interest.

Designer paper is from Paper Pizazz that I have had in my stash forever! Went with a black border as I couldn't find any darker red that went with the colors in the dp. I added the black circle border at the last minute, and I'm glad I did. It just ties everything together!

Thanks for stopping by!
