PTI blog hop - touch of gold birthday card

Hi everyone! I decided to participate in this month's PTI blog hop touch of gold. Here is the picture announcing the hop.

Here is what I did with it! I'm liking the different texture on this, but I think I have more than a touch of gold!

Stamps are from PTI and I used Versamark and gold embossing powder to create the touch of gold.

The left hand border is cut out of a 12 x 12 Color Me gold sampler pack from Hot Off The Press. I've had the gold wire mesh in my drawer forever and decided to cut it to use on this card. The Happy Birthday panel is popped up using foam tape.  I decided to do a bit of gold embossing on the inside of the card to match the front. I just inked up the top part of the stamp instead of the whole thing to make the border. All cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink.

Thanks for dropping in!

All that gold is so elegant and beautiful! Your gold EP is very bright and shiny. I just bought some new gold EP and hoping it's prettier than the dark, yucky stuff I currently have. Lovely card!

Wowza, Laurie, this is stunning! It is a golden delight, but not TOO much gold. I am swooning over the use of the gold mesh, which I've never seen before. I have other colors of the mesh and, funnily, I was just thinking about how I haven't used them in ages and I've always loved the look of them. You have just reinforced my thinking with this magnificent card!! TYSM!
