Better Halloween card

Hi again and Happy Halloween! I think this card turned out a lot better!

Stamp is from TAC and colored with Copic's.  The really cool black designer paper was purchased from Michaels several years ago and I've hoarded pieces of it just to use at Halloween. The orange designer paper is also from Michaels and I have no idea who made it.

Black satin ribbon is tied between the two pieces of designer paper and the bow was made using the Bow Easy.

I hope your Halloween is fun, safe and all your little ghost and gobblins don't OD on all the candy!

Thanks for stopping in!

Wild Halloween card

Hi all! Here's a Halloween card I did using one of the Viva La Verve sketches. I'll warn you now, it pretty bright and wild with all the patterned paper I used.

Trick or Treat stamp is a very old one from TAC. It's colored with Copic markers and then cut out using an oval nestie. Designer paper is from K&Company that I picked up a couple of years ago.  Orange and lime green cardstock is from DCWV.

This is not one of my favorite Halloween cards that I've made over the years. I think if I had to do it over I'd replace the striped DP for a solid color, maybe orange. What do you think?

PTI Blog Hop

Hi everyone! I decided to play along in this month's PTI Blog Hop. This month we were challenged to step out of the box and use non-traditional colors for a Holiday project. Here is the color combo I chose to work with.

Stamps are from the set called Tremendous treats. I used the colors outlined above for all the cardstock on this card. I got out my prisma color pencils to color the bird. The pine stamp in the back ground is from Great Impressions and is stamped in Versamark. I added a bit of sparkle using a stardust pen to simulate a little snow. Dies used: Scalloped border from Quickutz, nesties, PTI and the stitched border punch from Fiskars.

I think this card could so pass for a traditional color scheme. What do you think?  Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate any and all feedback!

Just because

Hello! I'm in that fall mood with all the rain and wonderful colors and it's inspired me to create this card.

Leaf stamps are from TAC and colored with Copic markers. Summer sky blue ink from Memento is also sponged onto the background to soften the white space. Sentiment is from Verve, as is the
sketch.

Yellow and dark brown cardstock is from Bazzilla and the kraft is from Papertrey.  Brown rhinestones are from Kaisercraft. Spellbinders circle nesties used to create the sentiment panel.

Happy Boss's Day

Hi there everyone! Happy Boss's Day! I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch to create this one for my boss. Hope she likes it!

I took a little creative license with this sketch and I love how it turned out! Designer paper is from DCWV Linen Closet. The sentiment is computer generated using a hand writing font. I like that it's not "perfect!"

Butterfly and fern dies are from Poppy stamps/Memory Box. Spellbinders labels and circles used too. The only stamping will be on the inside of this card! Let's hope that I don't mess up since it's going to the boss!

Thanks for stopping in!

Many Blessings

Hi everyone! I decided that to play around with this weeks sketch challenge over at SCS. Here is the sketch.

Here is what I did with it.

The leaf stamp is an old one from The Angel Company and colored in R37, R39 and R59 Copic markers. I cut it out and popped it up using foam tape. Sentiment stamp is from Verve.

Designer paper is from K&Company, kraft cardstock from PTI and the burgandy cardstock is from American Crafts. I decided to use ribbon for the #3 panel and I also used vintage photo distress ink around panels 4 and 5.

I really like this sketch - lately it seems that all sketches have been all about circles being the main focus and this was a great change!

Happy Harvest

Hi everyone! I'm still playing around with the Glitz glitter and peel off stickers to create some bling. Here's a fall card this time around. Click on the picture for a better view!

Pumpkins are a peel off sticker from Elizabeth crafts and it was dusted with the Glitz glitter and then colored with Copics. I used one of the label dies from Papertrey, Ink to cut out the green and white cardstock. The white one is ran through the lattice embossing folder and then the pumpkins are popped up with foam tape.

Designer paper is from DCWV and distressed using gingerbread Versa Magic dew drops. Rounded the corners and adhered it to the kraft card base. Tied a bit of Jute string between the main image and the sentiment to break it up a bit and add some interest.

Sentiment stamp is from TAC and the die's are from Verve.

Mojo Monday 262 - Just because

Hi everyone! I just love this Monday's Mojo sketch and this card came together pretty quickly.  Here's the sketch.

Here is what I did with it.
Flower stamp is from Verve and it's colored with Copic markers in Y35 and Y38. I cut out the smaller one and added some punched out leaves behinds it. The buttons are from American Crafts.
Sentiment is from Savvy stamps.

I used the Verve pennant trim die to cut out a piece of white cardstock, then colored it with Scattered Straw distress dye and highlighted it with wild honey distress ink and a dauber. The yellow cardstock is from the Bazzill Swiss dots line.

Winter wishes

Ok! Here is the Holiday version of yesterdays sketch challenge!

Stamps are from the Winter mittens set from Verve.

Mittens are colored with B93, B95 and B97 Copic markers. I used colorbox white pigment ink to stamp the heart onto the mittens.  I also used the white ink to stamp the sentiment then to make it a bit darker used some white embossing powder and heat embossed.

The light blue snowflake designer paper is from DCWV. The snowflake embossing folder is a 5 x7 one from provo craft. Blue cardstock on the left is from HOTP and the blue for the circle is from PTI. Skinny white grosgrain ribbon which measures a 1/4 inch used behind the main image. It was a challenge cutting the ends with that small of ribbon! ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear what you think of this one!

Daisies

Hi everyone! I'm playing in the Verve World Card Making Day challenge. Here's the sketch to use:

Here is what I did with it.

Sentiment stamp is from Verve's Joyful Blooms set and stamped in Archival jet black ink. I was supposed to do a Holiday card but decided to use this one instead. If I have time later, I'll probably do another one.

The daisies are a peel off sticker from Elizabeth craft designs, which is a little larger than the sketch circle, but I went with it. It is  colored with Copic's after dusting with Crystal Glitter Ritz. Can you see the sparkles?

Designer paper is from My Minds Eye. Blue cardstock is from American Crafts.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy World Card Making Weekend!

Never give up

Hi everyone! Here's my take on this weeks Mojo Monday sketch!

Sentiment is from Verve. I thought this was appropriate for October Breast Cancer awareness month! Ladies, schedule your mammogram if you haven't had one already!

Pink cardstock is from Hot Off The Press and the white and kraft is from Papertrey, Ink. Pink and brown ribbon used together to add some interest. I found the Doily in the cake decorating section at Michael's.  Dies used are from Spellbinders and Memory Box.
