Malamute Birthday card

Hi everyone! Today is my DH's birthday and I made this card to give to him while we're up here in Alaska. I'm working, he's playing tourist.

I actually bought this stamp from Gray Wolf Graphic's because it is a Malamute. It looks a lot like Noah and my husband will get a kick out of this! I highlighted it with Copic markers.

Designer paper is from Sizzix little sizzles line that is no longer available. I used the tag die from Verve to center the sentiment and did a bit of hand cutting to layer the black on. Sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Tied a bit of black and white gingham ribbon to the tag and were done. Kept it simple for DH. I hope to get some cool pictures of Alaska while I'm up here - it'll be for two weeks this time! UGH. Thank goodness for being able to schedule posts!

Thanks for stopping in!

Miss you

I actually get to participate in PTI's monthly blog hop this time around! WooHoo!

Here is the challenge picture.

Here is what I created.
Stamps are from the Botanical Silhouettes Anniversary set. I inked up the flower stamp in two separate colors to get the look. Studio G yellow chalk ink and Cantaloupe ink from Memento used.

I cut out a piece of white cardstock with the Mat stack 3 die, then ran it through the lattice embossing folder. To get the Aqua color I used ink from Colorbox direct to paper using a very light hand! I popped up the circle sentiment using foam tape and added a yellow pearl from Kaisercraft for the center fo the flower.

Yellow cardstock was rescued from my stash of scraps. The ticket corner punch was used on the corners and then I added tiny white pearls as a point of interest. Doily was added as an after thought and I love what it does for the over layout of the card. White satin was used to tie the bow using the Bow Easy.

Spring Birthday

Hi all! I had a chance to whip up this card for the Mojo Monday sketch this week. Really like the sketch and this came together pretty quickly except for.......

where the flower is. I tried several butterflies, didn't like! They were either too big too small. Finally settled on the light yellow paper flower, with button center to match. Added some greenery around and finally had something I liked!

Stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. Designer paper is from Making Memories and Hot Off The Press. Butterflies are stamped in light yellow chalk ink from Studio G.

2 you

Hey everyone! Since it's St. Patrick's Day, I thought I'd share a green card that has nothing to do with the Holiday except it's green.

All stamps are from Papertrey, Ink. I used a lime green chalk ink from Studio G to stamp the center of the coffee cup. I also used the same green to stamp on the argyle to the black cardstock.

Cardstock is from DCWV and the designer paper is from Autumn Leaves. Spellbinders rectangle and square nesties used to cut out the main image and sentiment.

Thanks for stopping in and make sure you wear green today!

Sympathy card

Hi everyone! It seems that I never have a sympathy card when I need one. So, decided to make one up just in case and keep it in my stash - let's hope I don't have to use it and it sits there a while.

I colored this old SU stamp with Marvy wet looks embossing markers, which I purchased at M's years ago when I first started stamping. I stamped it on linen vellum and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I really love how this turned out. The linen texture of the vellum gave it an old fashioned cross stitch look! Click on the picture to bring up the detail.

I very seldom use my oval nesties but decided that this little flower bunch would look great in it.

What do you think? All supplies are listed below! Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies:
Flower stamp from the Happy Harmony set from SU
Sentiment is from PTI
Designer paper - K&Company
Linen Vellum - PTI
Green cardstock - Bazzill
White satin ribbon

In the pink

Well hello everyone! Again, playing around with new stamps from PTI anniversary release. I really was just stamping around with this butterfly with different kinds of inks to see which one's gave the best coverage.

The answer is: Studio G chalk inks...at least for this card. The lighter pink is just a case of being stamped once already or ghost stamped.

I had a few butterfly charms in my stash and I used one of them to embellish or cover up one of the smaller butterflies that I didn't stamp real well. After all, I was just playing around....(giggle) Sentiment is stamped in Archival jet black ink. The polka dot dp is from Papertrey.

Have a colorful day!

White peonies

Hi all! Being creative with the new anniversary set from PTI. Fresh snow palette ink and kraft cardstock is looking kind of cool with the solid peonies stamp.

The sentiment is from Lovely Leaves (PTI) and stamped using Archival ink. I used the new kraft ink from PTI and the open smaller peonies to stamp around the sentiment. The tag die is also from PTI.

The scalloped die is from Memory Box and cut out of dark chocolate cardstock. All dp, ribbon and cardstock on this card is from Papertrey, Ink.

The layout is from Stamping 411 Saturday sketch #245.

I like how this turned out - totally different using browns and white together! Thanks for stopping in!

Masculine Birthday card

Hi all! I was playing around coloring the new Lovely Leaves set from Papertrey, Ink and ended up making this.

I colored the leaves with copic markers in G40 and G43 and then used a yellow glaze gel pen for the centers.

Designer paper is from K&Company, which I cut in a two inch strip then die cut the end. The dark green cardstock is from Bazzill and I embossed it using the quatrefoil die. Love how it came out!

Lastly I took a piece of cream button twine and tied it in a bow around the dp.

Looking at this picture now, I really don't think it's just a guy card at all. What do you think?

VO color challenge

Hi everyone! the net challenge up over at Victorine Originals is a color combo. Use the following colors in your card or project. Green, white and/or Black. Here what I came up with.

Very much a clean and simple card that can be whipped up in no time. Vine stamp and sentiment are from VO.

The vine is stamped in a limeish green color in ink from Studio G. I have to tell you that those little $1.00 ink squares are awesome and worth more than a dollar in my mind. Sentiment is stamped in Jet Black Archival ink.

Green cardstock is from Bazzill. I rounded the corners off using the corner chomper from crop-a-dile. Black grosgrain ribbon is taped on behind the white panel then tied into a knot in front.

So, head on over to the Victorine stamps blog and enter your color combo creation for a change to win some great unmounted stamps.

Really red

Hi all! Playing around with the newest A Muse Studio stamps set called Charming Gardeners and wanted to color the poppies red. I just love seeing red poppies growing wild since you mostly see the orange variety. They just seem to pop for me.

It's too bad that I couldn't capture that vivid color with my Copic coloring! =(

White cardstock used for the card base. Bazzill Swiss dot designer paper is cut using the bracket die from Tim Holtz Alterations.

The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is stamped in Palette fresh snow. I hand cut the pennant from PTI's black cardstock. Spellbinders labels 1 in the small and normal dies used to cut out the poppies and layer it in black.

What do you think? Blah?
