Inspiration challenge - pumpkins

Greetings! I wanted to share with you a card I completed based on the inspiration challenge today over at SCS. It's was based upon some kids clothing and I chose a dress with a pumpkins all over it in the Halloween section.

The stamp is from Yvonne Albritton Designs and is colored with Copic's. The base of the card is kraft card stock. I used a sanded background stamp with vintage photo ink to cover the kraft card stock. Then using the same ink, sponged around the perimeter. I used the same BG stamp for the layer right under the main stamped image, but used pumpkin spice versamagic ink instead. I also added a bit of sky using a dauber and summer sky ink from Memento.

The stamp is a pretty big one and I waffled back and forth with what to do with all the white space. I had seen some pretty great things done with cutting out different shapes, so I decided to get out the oval coluzzle to cut out the shape of the card. I had to hand cut the layers (which is something that I'm not very good at!) but in the end, it came out pretty good!

Well, I'm off to enjoy the last of the summer sun and warmer weather. We are heading out to kayak in Puget Sound!

This is what inspired me: Dress

Supplies:
Stamps: Yvonne Albritton Designs, Sanded by SU!
Ink: vintage photo, palette noir, versamagic pumpkin spice, Memento summer sky
Copic Markers
Kraft, green and white card stock
